Happy to be bringing to sale today a beautiful collectible dessert plate, part of the White House China Plate Collection by Woodmere China.This plate, new and in its original packaging, is a reproduction of the china pattern used by President James Monroe (1817-1825) while serving in the White House.The pattern was commissioned from the fashionable French house of Dagoty by President and Mrs. Monroe.It features an American eagle at its center and a thick amaranth-colored border, which showcases five vignettes depicting Strength, Agriculture, Commerce, Art and Science.It measures 7 ½” across and has never been taken out of its packaging before I photographed for this listing.All appropriate paperwork is present, including a recipe for the very French Raspberry Bombe dessert. Comes from a smoke free home. This plate was made EXCLUSIVELY for Tupperware awards. This is are as there were not that many made and so few are left in mint condition. I have 2 other plates listed.
