Thisknife was produced by WH in a very small run of 37 knives in 2003. It is fromthe early years of William Henry Knives when they were still located in SantaCruz, CA just across from the Pacific Ocean. It was the only such knife made atthe California shop so it is rare and unusual even by WH standards. Both thehandle and the blade are constructed from highly polished Mike Norris Damascussteel. This material is very durable and great to look at. Both the button lockand the backside pivot pin feature diamonds. A brown William Henry ostrich clipcase comes with this knife which features a black leather lanyard. I am theoriginal owner of this knife. It hasnever been carried, used, polished, or sharpened. It has been stored open. Thisknife comes with the original info pamphlet, safety instructions, polishingcloth, and leather sheath in the original black box as shown in the photos. Thisknife will be a fine addition to anyone’s William Henry collection or makesomeone a great fancy carry knife – but first, please read the WH instructions for the safe use of this unusual knife. Ihave a number of early WH knives that I will be offering here for sale over thecoming weeks.

Designer and entrepreneur Matt Conablefounded William Henry in 1997 and is now the sole owner. Conable firstestablished the brand creating exclusive and award-winning pocketknives, effectively transforming the archetype of all tools into a superb piece offunctional jewelry for men. Matt Conable founded the company with the beliefthat he could create objects he could be proud of and that would stand the testof time; and that he could take care of people along the way, building aculture more akin to a family than a corporation, a studio than afactory. The seamless integration of classic natural materials, preciousmetals & gemstones, and state-of-the-art alloys is a hallmark of WilliamHenry’s work. Hand-forged tapestries in metal, chisel carved silver,hand-burnished gold inlay, fine hand engraving, exotic materials, and inlaidgemstones are interwoven into stunning pieces of timeless stature. “I like theidea that William Henry’s creations strike a personal chord in our clients” –says Conable. “Every now and then, it is important to invest in objects thatare personal, immediately useful, yet timeless in their appeal and relevance –these rare pieces are imbued with the personality of their owners, and becomepart of their living legacy”. But what makes this brand so distinctive is thatit has proudly retained the aura and feel of an artisan workshop, where everypiece is designed and created exclusively in small, limited, often uniqueeditions.
