William Howard Taft signed letter to author Wayne Whipple about his pending book \"Story-life of Lincoln\", The letter is dated August 1, 1906 on personal stationary from Cincinnati but indicated in type that he was in Hot Springs, Virginia at the time. Taft thanks the author for some advance sections of the book and indicates he would like a bound copy when completed \"…as I am always much interested in reading of Lincoln\'s life.\" Whipple was a popular writer of many short biographies of people and things told through various stories---almost a for of oral histories. The letter shows some soiling but the signature is a perfect sample. This letter will appeal to the Presidential autograph collector as well as the Lincoln specialist.
