AVery Good Georgian SterlingSilver Spoon. Made in London,in 1761, by William Tant. A RARE Picture Front Dessert Spoon with a Fig Shaped Rattail Bowl. The decorationto the front of the terminal is that of a woman, believed to be later decorated circa 1780, Barbara Campanini dancing in the popular dance of the time \"Tambourine\".
Maker\'s mark listed in Grimwade\'s unregistered marks, probably William Tant. Grimwade has Tantearning his freedom in1766.
Condition:
The Marks: A little worn.
The Spoon: Very Good Condition. No splits, dentsor repairs.
