Made by Zuni silversmith William Zunie (b.1938-1983), this sensational vintage sterling silver necklace features incredibly well done mosaic channel inlays depicting elaborate sunfaces using jet, turquoise, mother of pearl, and coral. It\'s strung with handmade sterling beads and decorated with perfectly placed rain drops, and it\'s significantly heavier and larger than most Zuni squash blossom necklaces.The necklace measures 25\" (63.5 cm) and weighs a very heavy 198 grams. The naja measures 2 & 7/8\" tall (7.3 cm) and 2.5\" wide (6.35 cm). The smaller sunfaces measure 1 & 7/8\" long (4.76 cm) and 1 & 5/16\" wide (3.33 cm). The back is signed WM Zunie and tests for sterling.
