Winnie The Pooh A.a. Milne 1929 First Book Eighth Edition Rare Antique Collector:
Hello and welcome to my ,
This sale is for Winnie the Pooh, part of the heart-warming Winnie The Pooh book series by A.A. Milne.
This book is the Eighty edition printed in 1929. This story was first published in 1926. Published by Methuen & Co.
Winnie-the-Pooh is the first volume of stories about Winnie-the-Pooh, written by A. A. Milne and illustrated by E. H. Shepard. The book focuses on the adventures of a teddy bear called Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends Piglet, Eeyore, donkey, Owl and Rabbit.
As you can see from the pictures, this is a lovely book in very good condition for its age.
The book has superb emerald green covers which are in good condition with some light marks. There are some indentations on the spine where something has pressed against the book. Some colour loss at the edges of the spine. The pages are mostly clean but some do have marks (See photographed examples). Binding is good but indications of a possible spine repair previously. One of the illustrations has been painted with water colour paints (nicely done). some minor tears. The text on the spine and the illustration of Christopher Robin and Pooh bear on the front is in a lovely bright shiney gold.
Overall a lovely book to read and a treasure to own. The colour looks stunning upon a bookshelf.
Dispatched with Royal mail – 2-3 days.
