This item is a cold weather bottom that bomber crews wore during WW2 at high altitudes where temperatures could be thirty below. This particular set is rare due to it beingU.S. Navy issue. The Navy used the same B-24\'s as the Army Air Forces of that period. Many Navy bombers were involved in anti-submarine warfare over theAtlantic. This pair is solid enough to wear, but due to it\'s agemuch of the leather is cracking and some has fallen off. They are a size 38, and heavy.Obviously, this along with a similar looking jacket, was the outer layer of several layers of clothing.
