Ww2 Luftwaffe General Feldmarschall Sperrle Sc Knights Cross Condor Legion Franc:
Genuine, authentic, original hand signedphotograph and hand signed letter of Generalfeldmarschall Hugo Sperrle.
Sperrle was a highly decorated and among the highest ranked German soldiers of World War 2.
DuringWW2, Sperrle was best known as Luftwaffe Fleet 3 particularly during the Battle of France and Britain and was made Luftewaffe Commander in the West including D Day and the Battle of Normandy. Previously, Sperrle commanded Luftwaffe forces under Legion Condor during the Spanish Civil War.
Because ofhis military successesduring the Spanish Civil War, he was awarded the Spanish Cross in Gold with of his extreme personal bravery and successful military leadership in combat in WW2, Sperrle received the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross on May 17 1940.
The 4 x 6 inch printed black and white photograph shows Sperrle as Generalfeldmarschall wearing his Knights Cross and other awards, and he has signed his name below his image in black pencil. Along with a one page printed and typed letter signed as Commander in ChiefLuftwaffe Fleet V, Munich, August 4 1936 to "Lieber Ott" (Luftwaffe KC winner?) thanking his for his good wishes, and boldly signedby Sperrle in black fountain pen ink. The signed foto has been affixed to a large HJ youth albumpage and is in very good condition. The signed letter has normal mail folds, and is in very good condition. Along with a modern unsigned print as shown in the scan. Total: 3 items.
