This unique fountain pen from the Xezo collection celebrates the power of inspiration. It is entirely made by hand from its clip to the painted metal grip section, and each pen has a unique serial number. It is named after the famous Italian song O Sole Mio. If you have ever had a chance to see the sunrise in Naples, Italy, then perhaps the melody of O Sole Mio would have been a perfect addition to the scene. It is this imagery of the sunrise in Naples, Italy inspired us to make this unique production, which is limited to 200 pieces worldwide. There is a saying that no two sunrise are ever the same, and so no two of Xezo’s O Sole Mio pens are alike because each pen is painted in a slightly different range of color hues and patterns. The pen’s balanced barrel and cap are produced from solid brass and are painted using a hand held spray gun. Between 30 to 40 layers of paint blended with different colors are applied on the barrels and grip section of each pen, and after each layer of paint there is a layer of clear lacquer applied on the surface of the barrels and grip section and then the surface is manually polished and thermo-baked. Such steps are repeated with each layer of paint applied. At the end of the process, the entire body is topped with a triple layer of translucent coating and polished. The spring clip is 4-sided and is manually polished for a one-of-a-kind look. The other metal parts are made of brass and are .999 Platinum-plated.
