Z Scale PORTLAND RAIL CAR BRASS ROLLING STOCK. These cars are extremely rare and very hard to find. This sale is for 8 different cars. I believe that these represent all the models Portland Rail Car produced. I was going to list each carseparately. But I am selling as a set. They belong together. The cars are all of old time US rolling (and Canadian) Rolling stock. The cars include a beautiful Bobber caboose (UP), Canadian Combine, Overton Coaches, mail car, Craneand work car set. 8 brass rolling stock in all (photos show closeups and how they look in their original boxes). I don\'t know of any other rolling stock like these.
They would be awesome in a display case or running behind an Old Time Steam engine. As stated, these are all brass and highly detailed. They are very delicate. They were all produced by a small company called Portland Rail Car (from the early days of Z). The company is not around (and has not been for many years). I bought these cars from a collector and never ran them. A couple of the roofs of the UP passenger cars can come off if you wish. I am not sure if that is on purpose so I did not want to glue them (the winning buyer can decide). They are all in excellent condition. Keep in mind these are not mass produced cars. They havea lot of character. These are excellent for Z collectors or those ofyou that want to run them.

I was going to put a very high reserve price on these but decided to let the buyers determine the value. I can say, I paida lot for each car (did not buy them as a set - the collector sold them separately and did not want to part with them so I paid top dollar. I still love Z scale but am selling some of my very large collection. These cars are very hard for me to give up. I will have otherrare and hard to find sets available on (adding new ones each week).
