This measures 1\" x 5/8\" across the face of the ring and is signed GDM on the back. I haven\'t been able to identify the maker, but this style of stone work, known as Snake Eyes, was primarily done by the Zuni tribe, although there are a few Navajo artists who made similar designs. There are no machines that can replicate this type of stonework...it takes an incredible amount of skill and was very time-consuming to do. It was made entirely by hand ...each stone was cut and polished and set into hand-cut saw tooth bezels, no easy feat when you consider how tiny the stones and individual settings are. Each one is less than 2mm in diameter.

It\'s in excellent condition with the natural patina still intact, except for the shank which was gently polished. When I bought this, it had a ring sizer on it to make it fit smaller, and the sizer had left some little marks on the back of the shank. You can feel a slight bit of roughness when you rub your finger over the edge, but it\'s not something felt while the ring is being worn.
