This is an exceptionally fine bolo made with channel or mosaic inlay which is flush and perfect and the most gorgeous natural rare Lone Mountain mine turquoise. The bolo is large and heavy and it is framed with hand substantial hand stamped silver work. The artist created hand made tips with stamping and a large bead and attached matching inlaid dangles to the ends of the tips. The inlaid dangles have hand made raindrop trim. The silver channels on this piece are some I\'ve not seen before and are quite lovely and distinctive. The work is immaculate and the work of a master silversmith. The original leather tie was breaking with age and I had it replaced by a great artist who as a hobby has mastered techniques to recreate the look and feel of old ties with new leather ties, so the ties are flexible and soft and in new condition but look old. He made the tie for me for this bolo and weighted the tips before switching them to the new 6 ply tie. So this bolo has a great tie, great tips and everything is hand made. It is stamped MTL on the back of the bolo and on the back of one of the dangles but I have not identified the artist and would appreciate help.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition and the only problem I see are some dings on the metal tips. The piece weights a substantial 84.3 grams and the bolo is quite large, too at 2-3/4\" H x 1-3/4\" W. The tips are long at 3-5/8\" total length. The dangles measure 1\" by 9/16\". This piece was made between 1968 and the 1970s because it was collected in the 1970s and was made with rare and beautiful Lone Mountain Turquoise which was only available for a short time.

This is a unique and stunning bolo made by a great master. This is wearable art at its best and it is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, suitable for collections and a true delight to wear.
