1930 -1940
made in Denmark by L Hjorth.
it measures 31 cm high x 41 cm long x 19 cm wide
it is marked to the base on the front right foot \'L Hjorth 600 Danmark\' along with the factory Stag mark. 1 of the back feet has the artists signature \'CK\'
the elephant is nicely modeled and has a distinct style with a simple white glaze.
it has the feel of an old elephant with wrinkled skin and a bulky frame.
it is in good vintage condition. The white glaze on top of the elephants back has a crack as shown in the last picture. It may be from manufacture. There is a small area on the back of 1 of the back legs where the glaze has not quite covered and the bottom of 3 of the feet have some newspaper residue.
it is heavy and weighs 5.94 kg.
