a vintage Fornasetti dish
made in Italy
I believe it to be an original 1950\'s - 70\'s design rather than a more modern piece.
the dish is rectangular with curved edges and a mythical design.
each corner of the dish has a lady or goddess riding a swan.
the two long edges of the dish have gold detailing.
it is marked to the base \'Fornasetti Milano Made in Italy\'
14 cm long x 10.75 cm wide x 1.5 cm deep
it is aversatiledish and could be used to hold coins, keys or as an ashtray.
the dish has no chips or cracks but does have notable signs of wear. The gilt edges have rubbed significantly. There is a mark near one of the swans as shown in the close up picture and some light surface scratches.
it is a well made, tactile item and does still display well.
