Extraordinary and uniqueART DECOCoral Collierwith beautiful pink / peach colored and regular 100 % undyed 10 mm chinese coral beads and a stunning handcrafted 750 (18k) gold clasp, decorated with a fine decor, which was forged in granulation *.
Hallmarked on closure with 750 for 14k Gold, otherwise Note: The ancient technique for granulation was especially rediscovered by Elisabeth Treskow (Cologne) . The pioneer of this technique was the Munich goldsmithJohann M. Wilm.
Description and details:
° The 41 round shaped coral beads measure approx. 10 mm. They are handpolished and have a shiny surface.
° length of the clasp: 23 mm / weight of the 18 k gold clasp: approx. 12 grams.
° color: excactly as shown on the pics° the beads are threaded and handknotted on red silk cord
° Length: 50,5 cm / 19,88inch
°Weight: 78, 36 g
° According to previous owner, the retail price was 8000 german mark (DM) once.
Condition:
Good condition with normal age related wear, due to the age and although 37 of 41 beads have age related hairline cracks (Most can be seen only with a magnifying glass)on the surface,
the beauty of the necklace is stunning.
