From an estate collection of German figurines lovingly collected in the early 1900sThis was a cherished figurine, because the owner had a professional REPAIR done at the lower left corner (where the pink rose is) that is hardly noticeable from the top because it was done so well. I only noticed it because I saw it on the basePorcelain figurine of an 18th century MAN PLAYING A CELLO who looks a bit like Mozart! He wears breeches that are in an irridecent glaze like mother of pearl, and wears a morning coat with long tailsThe glaze and handpaining are special on this, so expressive. There is a small black stamp that reads \"Foreign\" on the base which some German artisans placed on their wares for export.Sized 5 1/4\" tall and base is 3\" wideProfessional REPAIR to lower left corner (the pink rose part) that can barely be seen from the top. I only noticed it because it is a little more observable on the base. Was carefully done by an expert! The rest of the figurine has GREAT color and glaze and no other chips, repairs or breaks.
