OBJECT// Antique Netsuke of a very expressive Male ShiShi, Buddhist protective Lion Dog, he is depicted with ferociousface and paws balancing on a ball, carefully carved with stunning fur work, nice moving ball in his Mouth, rich in detail. Dating from the 18th century, Edo Period. Like all good Netsuke this object is good from every angle including the bottom, superb colour and patina, serious collectors object.
