This is an fantastic little c1840 American Sully style gilded miniature. Beautiful original water gilded surface with great lemon color, excellent patina and minor wear. Original wavy glass, shingle back and loop hanger. Measures 5 5/8 x 6 5/8 with a 4 x 5 1/8 rabbet. Cut nail, mitered corners and faded, ochre painted sides.Tough to find these Sullys in a miniature size in good condition.Please email with any questions. Check my response and offer with confidence.
