A very interesting hand written account with original Albumenphotographs of a family trip taken by horse and carriage to Tenby in Wales from Twickenham in Middlesex. Including local peoplethey met along the way.The diary / journal is not complete and the binding is missing.This survivingsequence of 53 page sides covers their arrival and stay in Tenby. Not dated but probably sometime during the 1880's. The photographs show beech huts, Welsh costume, boats, castlesand building etc. There are15 photographs and 38 page sides of writing. At the back is an Epitaph entitled " St.Issell's Churchyard Nr Tenby " ( 4 pages ). Also details of their journey back from Tenbyto Twickenham . Where they stayed and the miles inbetween. Each page measures 9.5 x 7.5 inches.Mostly all bound but thereare a few loose pages. Each page is thin card.The pages are in good condition with no tears. Some foxing.The photographs measure 8 x 5.5 inches. The15 photographs are titled South Sands, Tenby, Old Wall, Tenby, Tenby Fishing Boats, North Sand Tenby, Welsh Costume, Natural Arch Lydstep. Bullslaughter Bay, Pembroke Castle, Entrance Pembroke Castle, Pembroke Castle, Carew Castle, Carew Castle, Carew Cross, Manorbier Castle, St.Catherines Rock Tenby.
