c1904 Beautiful Art Nouveau German 900 Silver Floral Chased Vase

Presented is a lovely German 900 silver floral vase. This piece dates to circa 1904, based on the inscription. The vase is beautifully chased with a band of floral and foliate design near the top, with sinuous stems forming a flowing design down the sides and around the bottom. These floral designs are well done, with a lot of attention to detail and texture, very much in the Art Nouveau style of the time. The inscription reads \"Die Versethalsperren-Genossenschaft dem bewährten Leiter des Thalsperren-Baues, Herrn Regierungsbaumeister Link zur freundlichen Erinnerung. Fürwigge den 7 Mai 1904.\" This roughly translates to \"From the Verse Dam Cooperative to the successful Director of dam construction, construction officer Mr. Link, as a kind remembrance. Fürwigge, May 7yh, 1904.\" with some liberties taken in phrasing.

The underside of the vase is stamped 900 for the purity of the silver, as well as the letter M and another mark I can\'t make out.

This piece is in good condition. There is some minor denting to the edges of the base, but the vase still sits stable, with minimal rocking. There are no splits, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The vase stands about 7 3/8 inches tall.

This piece weighs 205 grams or 7.2 regular ounces.
