This is a very elegant, vintage, hinged glass container. The person I got it from, said it is a cigarette case.The inside of the container is white, the outside is clear with gold bubbles - it looks very dimensional. It is also ribbed, starting witha center point on top, then those lines go down the lid and down the side. The container is 3" x 2 1/4" x 4 1/8". Thelid is hinged about 1 1/4"from the top. The metal on the edge is mellowed gold with smallornamental engraved design. On the bottom, a sticker that identifies - Murano Glass Made inItaly. The glass piece issuch a great example of an elegant by-gone era. It still is a veryclassy piece of decorative and functional art.
