A rare Royal Doulton Coaching Days Blue Sky variation rack plate pattern E2768 - this piece is made in high quality fine bone china (not the more common earthenware). The Blue Sky variation of Coaching Days was made exclusively for the US market, and my research indicates it was only made for one year approximately, c.1905 or thereabouts.The impressed date of manufacture on the rear of this plate is 9-05 which would make it September 1905 production.Plate is approximately 10 1/4 inches or 26.5 centimeters diameter.Item is free from damage and repair, it rings like a bell when gently tapped, there is a little evidence of use on the front of the plate (minor scratching etc) but given this plate is now 110+ years old - we will forgive a few \"grey hairs\".
