A very rare length of semi-sheer antique silk gauze, painted in 18th century style. this type of fabric was also realised in China during the past centuries for export. Rare to find as fragile, this would deserve to be framed.
A huge piece: it is in good condition for age, with some tiny breaks to some edges of paint, some small holes and a some faint staining to the silk ground.
The silk ground has a tiny self-pattern.Length : 88\"

As far as possible (up to 2 kilo), and unless otherwise required by the buyer I use a low-rate small parcel shipping that usually travels between 2 and 3 week for a reasonable price and can be tracked and insured up to 150 Euro.
The express mail, if travelling only 1 week, starts at 30$ + insurance and requires more complete forms to fill, customs and other...I\'m always glad to combine shipping but please let me know in advance when you plan several purchases (to avoid unnecessary packing)
I charge no packing or handling fees and I use recycled wrappings and boxes as far as possible. Indicated shipping price is an estimation. If after packing there is a difference, I refund the exceeding amount, if I underestimated, the difference is for me. Except snow-storm or car-problem I send the day following payment.
Please be aware that whatever I\'m listing, (mostly fabric, materials, costume pieces, lace and accessoires to repair) it can sometimes be in good condition but it is NEVER NEW from a shop shelf!!!! (so signs of a former life are often noticeable unless they are described clearly as VGC or AS NEW)
