super art nouveau solid silver ladies purse hallmarked 1917 V.W Birmingham superb beautiful solid silver fully hallmarked art nouveau flower engraved ladies purse complete with sterling hallmarked chain handle and finger loop, , made by VW birmingham, it is date lettered for 1917 [S] sterling mark. . the purse is approx 13 cms wide x 7.5 cms x 3 cms thick at the widest point,the weight is approx 93 grams including the chain and leather interior [it has a small wallet with a 1917half penny coin within which will be left for luck ,the inside has its fine original tan leather interior with fine stitching and is unworn neat as made still in place . a truly most beautiful art Nouveau silver flower engraved purse ,it has the late owners initials engraved on one outer face in the middle ,the outer finish has some use marks . it is uncleaned and left as found it will polish up well and is ideal to use still, there are some use marks from its 97 yearsofage there was some original 1917 tram tickets within that i shall be listing on my site . a beautiful usable item .ideal for a gift to use or for shop retail. or for a collection, this is new to the market .
