offeredis a superb 1938 fancy shape art deco \"weidmann\" automatic pocket petrol lighter. thenickel silver plated lighter features wonderful engine turned835 silver case with slide underside panel. the panel reveals 2 unusual round screws which i am not sure what one is as one is for fuel. possibly something interesting. the underside and bottom silver case have unusual logo which i\'m not sure of. thelighter was manufactured and invented in 1938 by weidmann of germany as seen in utility patent sketch. the\"weidmann\" is a quality well made automaticsnap up mechanism lighter. the lighter measures about 1-3/4\" tallx 1-1/2\" wide and is in excellent lite if any used condition. if used - it was only to test. themechanism snaps up with strong tension. the lighter mechanism should work with proper service of fuel and flint butsold as a non-working collectible.
