a wonderful silver and enamel trinket box designed by Kate Harris for William Hutton & Sons,it has perfect enamels in shaded peacock green & blue,it is sotypical of the art nouveau & arts & crafts period,it is of superbquality and would have been sold through high end retailers like the the liberty & costore in londons regent streetalong side their cymric range,or connells of cheapside,there were several designers using this medium of design and decoration during this era,amongst those the most notable were,jessie m king,murrle bennett,charles hornerand james fenton.it was produced byhaselers of birmingham,these were the only silversmith making for libertys and produced the cymric silver ware range plus the tudric pewter range also,it is a very rare and desirable piece it measures a tad under 3\" across 2\" deep and 1\" high so a fine size, it has full assay marks for london date lette i for 1904 plus the distictive makers monogram,the hinged lid has conforming lion passant and date letter whern lifted reveals the interior with a delicate gilt wash,it is without damage or discernable repair,please feel free to ask any questions and i will reply within 24hours,this is a genuine piece and should not be mistaken for the unmarked copies and reproduction items offered on and as such is over 100 years old so may have minor signs of age and use.postage is by special delivery in the u.k and airsure or signed for to international destinations.
