The Kamico line of Kay instruments was introduced in 1947….sothis rare white banjo is probably from sometime in the 50’s. That is pretty amazingconsidering the condition it is in. Itis not mint but I think it is inamazingly wonderful clean condition.Extremely minor handling wear. This instrument has been ‘handled’ morethan played. It is white but aged to acreamier tone. The graphics on the back are excellent…just the most minor ofheadstock edge wear….very minor fret wear….the finish on the back of the neckis nearly perfect…..you just never see these models that clean from that era. Some of the headstock log is missing on theface, probably from string wear…but I can find no other serious marks to report….itis just very clean and a really nice example.I have never seen another one in WHITE! Currently has OLD strings on it (blackened) and missing one. Comes with a bridge that may or may not be original. The tuners are complete and in good working order.

Believed to be with its original case…..the case is in decent condition with working latches and handle….but both hinges on the back arebroken so the lid will not close tight on that side. See pics…lid stands separately when opened. Missing some of its paper covering in a few spots but still pretty solid...if you add hinges it will be a very good working vintage case. That is really the only issue I can find withthis set, other than the banjo needing new strings and normal set up /adjustment to be in top playingcondition.

I am not an expert on banjos so if you have further questions, please examine allthe detailed pics closely and be sure to call me before offerding. I am not ableto lower the price AFTER the sale.

Measurements: 11 inch diameter tone ring. overall length is 34 inches

approximately 23 inch scale nut to bridge (assuming I have placed the bridge correctly...the scale could be +/- from that)

In my pics I notice some dust and dirt on the wood section that is in between the top and back on the round body....someone who knows banjos can take this apart and clean it and make it look even more amazing....I just don\'t know banjos well enough to do that.....great project and a great player!

An unbelievablefind....Wonderful condition old banjo you can play now!
