I am not 100% sure what this item is made of. I collect the chalkware saint statues, and this figure fits in with them but is not made of plaster.It is lightweightand looking inside the bottom hole... see pic.... it looks like either a vintage composite or papier mache\' paper mache.height is 13\"please look at pics, the statue is beautiful and I think would survive outsidethe last pic is of the statue with a couple other statues I have listed, just for size verification.enjoy this St. Francis holding a sweet bird....
