This is actual full(about 63\" long)size replica of a Victorian claw foot tub with ornate cherubs flanking both ends. This paper mache masterpiece is old, but not sure how old, or what it was used for. This is not for actual water. It is sturdy and in excellent condition. Description

This is an item I have had for many years and have decided that it is time to let it go since I have no place to display it and it just sits in storage. This is a fabulous vintage paper mache or so I believe it to be decorative claw foot tub. What a phenomenal decorator piece that you will just love to have to fill up that special clients home. This is a display piece and is not a real tub- no water can be put into it. The piece is very nicely made and is very sturdy. It may have been painted several times and there is gold paint on the underneath. Actual age is unknown but this likely came from a department store to decorate the perfumes and bath lotions area. When I had a larger home this sat in the 2 story foyer up on the large display ledge and could be seen through the window from outside and also inside. I got so many complements on this! Most people thought it to be real cast iron and wanted to know how in the world we got it up there. It actually weighs probably only about 20lbs- that is an estimate and one person can carry except the large size makes it much easier for two people to move it. I have never needed to repair or paint this- it is as I received from an old storage area. The approximate size is 63\" by about 29\" tall. That is over 5 foot! I wish this could sit out in a garden but it is not waterproof enough for that. It would look amazing in a sunroom or closed in porch with some faux plants in it. It would make a spectacular window display for a bath or luxury product store. It could hold products inside a store as well. Real plants could be used too as long as there were a water proof liner. I am sorry but I have no desire to ship this item so it is for pick up only in the Columbus Ohio area. Ohio sales tax will apply. Thanks for looking!
