1946 The Song of the South Original Production Cel Brer Bear & Brer Rabbit:

(Disney, 1946) A framed original multi-layer production cel of Br'er Bear and Br'er Rabbit from "Song of the South." This frame is from the famous "Laughing Place" animated sequence (or the "Br'er Rabbit and the Snares" section) in Song of the South.
Scene Context: Br'er Rabbit gets caught upside down in one of Br'er Fox's rope snares set up in a tree.
What Happens: When Br'er Bear comes along, Br'er Rabbit tricks him by pretending he isn't trapped at all—claiming instead that he's being paid a dollar a minute to act as a "crow-thinker" (scarecrow) for the farm.
The Outcome: The dim-witted Br'er Bear falls for the trick, unties Br'er Rabbit, and takes his place hanging from the rope so he can earn the money himself, allowing Br'er Rabbit to make a quick escape.
Br'er Bear has an image size of 4.75" x 4.75," and Br'er Rabbit has an image size of 2.75" x 4", trimmed to character and paired with a 6.5" x 10" visible color copy background. The entire framed and matted piece measures 12.5" x 16". The art is in very good condition with wear from production use, and a 0.75" crack under Br'er Bear’s chin and paint separation on his nose.
