Disneyland - RARE "Submarine Voyage" Silk-Screened Attraction Entrance Poster (Walt Disney, 1955). This rare hand-pulled silkscreened poster, beckoning guests to "Explore uncharted seas! Submarine Voyage thru liquid space," is a captivating invitation to one of Disneyland''s most imaginative attractions. The Submarine Voyage, a highlight in the Tomorrowland section, debuted in June 1959 and remained a beloved adventure until its closure in September 1998. Reflecting the era''s Cold War influence, the original submarines were painted a stark gray, resembling nuclear subs and were celebrated as the "largest fun time fleet of submarines in the world." Created by Disney Legend Sam McKim, this poster is a masterpiece of design, featured on page 102 in the "Poster Art of Disney Parks" book by Daniel Handke and Vanessa Hunt. Measuring 36" x 54", this silk-screen poster exudes a sense of adventure and discovery, perfectly capturing the essence of the underwater journey. Very subtle signs of handling, very minor edge and surface wear. Never had exposure to direct sunlight. The colors are vibrant and arguably as brilliant as the day each layer or hue was silk-screened. It is professionally framed and ready to hang.
