By the hand of the acclaimed artist GustafTenggren (1989 - 1970), we have in this lot an outstandingly rareoriginal concept drawing of a pleasant village, created for thebeloved Disney classic Pinocchio. Joining the Disney Studiosduring the Depression in 1936, Tenggren is renowned for hisinfluential work in famous productions like The Old Mill, SnowWhite and the Seven Dwarfs, and Fantasia, among manyothers.
A fantastic display of Tenggren's remarkable eye fordetail, this original concept drawing, rendered in graphite on 12"x 8.25" paper, showcases a great image of the village where ourstory takes place, helping shape the film's backgrounds. Elementslike the elaborate architecture, the buildings' layering, and theroad's suggested texture grant this piece of production art a trulyimmersive quality.
