$425.00
WW2 Hungarian lego helmet original paint with state seal, this is a rare helmet that was kept in service post war and used by the district 18 military in conjunction with Budapest airport when the roman numerals were added . District 18 was created in 1950 in the Rakosi era before the Russians trashed all the m35 types and went to the Russian style later on. This is a WW2 used helmet but Hungary was a small country devastated and poor from war so much was used during the transitional years. Seldon does a district helmet pop up for sale, so here's a chance for one with a nice history. The state seal is between the rear hanger rivets on the rear inner skirt of the helmet, there is no hardness test mark, The maker stamp is by the left side bail if your wearing the helmet and stamped GY (gyor maker) size 64, has a nice liner and chin strap. There were a small amount of Lego helmets issued for continual use after the war for various districts pre Tildy era I have only seen 2 others for different districts in other peoples collections, so they are quite scarce.
