A rare matched pair of Art Deco candelabra by Hagenauer Wien (Vienna), each modeled as a stylized standing monkey figure, arms raised to form twin candle arms with cone-shaped bobeche cups, on a signature curled tripod foot. Cast in brass with a rich aged patina. Both pieces are marked on the base. A wonderful example of Hagenauer's celebrated whimsical figural metalware from the 1920s-30s.
Sold as a matched pair — a rare opportunity, as single examples are far more commonly found on the market than intact pairs.
