Charles Keeling Lassiter*, Listed American Abstract Expressionist Artist. Stunning, Original Mixed Media INK(?) on paper mounted on a matboard, featuring Expressionistic Abstract Figure. Signed, 'Lassiter56', at the bottom right corner. Mixed Media includes Pen & Ink, India ink, Watercolor. FRAMED, MATTED & UNDER GLASS. 1" Wide Gray Wood moulding, 2" Wide White-core mat and glass are included complimentary in this sale. Frame is in Excellent condition. Image opening measures 11 3/4 X 18 3/4 and is in Excellent condition. Outside measure of the frame is 17 1/2 X 24 1/2. Please carefully examine all images for condition. Apologies for glare or reflection in images due to photographing under glass.. *Charles Keeling Lassiter was born in New York in 1926. He was a trained artist who is also considered an outsider because of his style and medium chooses. His work has often been described as raw and primitive, the effect is bold and powerful. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in various Galleries and Museums in the United States, Switzerland and France, Including the Museum of Modern Art in 1956 and the Musée de L'Art Brut in 1986. Currently Lassiter's works can be found in such collections as the Museum of Modern Art and the Brooklyn Museum. He died in 2005.
