i started at pixar in 2004 and walle was the first real show i worked on, animating the storyboards.originally it was much different from how it eventually turned out.the humans were green, gelatinous blobs (outer space = loss of bone mass) who could barely speak english.at the very beginning it was going to be silent or have very minimal dialogue. that didn't fly with the brain trust.then for a while their language was very, er lazy; for example,"skruddah mah boot" would roughly translate to 'kiss my grits'.for reasons i don't remember w.a.l.-e was changed to wall*e.
fun fact- there was some worry about this because in australia wally is slang for pecker..anyway. this tshirt was given to the story team very early on, in production. there might have been 20 of us in total.tho there is a chance it was also given to the editorial team which was also skeletal at that time.so i'm guessing maybe 50, 60 tops of these in existence. 50 or 60 IN THE WORLD.the price is ridiculous, i know. skruddah mah boot.i'm content to wait and see what happens. maybe some russian oligarch's spoiled brat or some cool japanese cat or some tech nerd millionaire jerk will bite. maybe not.the last 3 pictures are only offered as proof that i worked there and are not included.
