This is a Prototype Flask. It Was never put into production.The filling hole is solid pottery. This flask was for display only, not a functioning whiskey flask. I believe this is the flask in " Collecting Doulton Kingsware by Jocelyn Lukins ". I believe this to be one of a kind.DescriptionBrown glazed flask featuring a modeled female figure holding her head in her hands, forming the handle and upper portion of the vessel. The spout is positioned at the side. The piece depicts imagery associated with The Quiet Woman, a pub in Leek, Staffordshire. The design originates from traditional signage referencing decapitated martyrs, later evolving into a satirical reference to the notion held by men, the primary patrons of pubs in the past, that women were overly talkative. The base bears the Royal Doulton mark.

Condition Report:No Crazing! Excellent Condition.Why is this flask so rare?The fact is it was a difficult flask to made because of the style of the handle. I have dome some research and found that The Major Kingsware Flask collectors dont have and have not seen one in person.Please view all the photos before purchasing, they complete the description.
