Harris & Son"-Cigar Box LabelDisplays remarkably well as shown, but poor condition w/ crease tears, etc. Please study the scans!FLAWS: Still holding together w/o any archival tape, but much separation along fold creases, etc.Will be mailed in sleeve inside rigid holder - Safe from further damage.
EXTREMELY RARE - 1870's / 19th Century Baseball! This is an exceptionally hard-to-find example of the earliest style of cigar box label art,and one of the very few produced in this era with a baseball theme. Baseball did not become particularlypopular as a subject for cigar label art until the 1880's and later. Comic Farce Scene / Violent Action1870's. - Geo. Harris only used this "& Son" name from 1872-1879 !!!!REVERSE - Price, Advertising / "George S. Harris & Son" name / address (dating from 1872-1879).
