Up for sale is a highly collectible, rare, and intact original fashion Press Kit from the legendary Manhattan-based designer Piero Dimitri, also known as Dimitri Couture. This unique archive beautifully documents the height of the 1970s New York luxury menswear era. A major highlight of this specific collection is the inclusion of Hollywood icon George Hamilton, who serves as the lead model in several of the key photographs, showcasing the era's peak casual elegance.

The complete archive consists of 18 original black and white press photos, which are 25.5*20.5 cm approx silver gelatin prints. These detailed studio and location shots showcase the entire Fall and Winter 1976 collection. Each photograph includes its original, typewritten informational caption slip, often called a snipe, folded carefully at the bottom rather than glued. These sheets feature fabric details, descriptions, and original public relations contacts like Lloyd Lawrence and Joyce Clary.

As a special addition, the archive also features 2 bonus designer portrait photos (25.5*20.5 cm approx) dated October 1974. These original photographs of Piero Dimitri himself were released to celebrate his prestigious Coty Return Award for Menswear fashion and include his historic studio address at 32 East 57th Street in New York.

Everything is housed inside the original Dimitri Couture folder, which is the authentic black presentation folder featuring the designer's printed logo.

The photographs themselves are overall in excellent vintage condition with strong contrast and sharp details. A few with foxing as seen in photos. The original typewritten paper slips and the backs of some photographs show authentic light tanning, spotting, and foxing consistent with 50-year-old paper ephemera. The authentic black presentation folder shows noticeable vintage shelf wear, edge creasing, scuffs, and light tearing on the inside pockets, making it intact but fragile.
