For sale here is a Vintage and Very Rare ART DECO GOLDSCHEIDER CERAMICS FIGURINE. c1930, it depicts a young woman in a carnival costume and triangular hat. The triangular straps of her bodice are connect at the shoulders by large buttons, more buttons are down the front and the back is bare. She is holding the wide legs of her pants out, forming more triangles. It is believed that the German silent film actress Eizabeth Arndt (also known as Lizzy Arna, 1904-1964) was the muse for this sculpture. Designed by Stephan Dakon (1904-1997) who was one of the most significant designers employed at the Goldschedier manufactory from 1925 until the mid-1950's.

Piece was made in Austria, hand-decorated, and has a glossy finish. It measures 13" tall, 6-5/8" wide, and 4-3/8" deep. It is marked Model Number 5658 6 12. Other markings are also on the underside, see photo. Pre-owned, item is in excellent condition without cracks or chips. Thank you for your interest!
