I purchasedthis magnificent fossil over 30 years ago from the Fire & Ice Gallery in Philadelphia’s Liberty Place.I've seen larger examples in galleries from London to Seattle,but never one that can match the dramatic beauty of its composition and craftsmanship. The juxtaposition of the polished fossils and rough stone is very sensual.Youtruly feel thatthe orthoceras are alive and swimming. Like me, my friends prefer it to all of my other paintings and carvings.At over 43" wide and almost 26“ high,it is a beautiful complement to bothtraditional and contemporary settings. It ranges from 1.5" to about 2.5”thick and weighs over 80 lbs. I am happy to deliver it myself within a 2 hour drive of Philadelphia. For longer distances, I recommend choosing an art transport company.
