The scroll itself was mounted by the 12th generation Okumura Kichibei, who is recognized as one of the esteemed "Ten Craftsmen of the Senke School." The calligraphy, titled "A Single Fragrance of a Mountain Plum" (渓梅一朶香), evokes the imagery of a solitary plum blossom blooming in a secluded valley, symbolizing the potential for beauty and fragrance to emerge anywhere in life. This exquisite piece is presented in its original wooden and paper boxes, and is noted for its pristine condition with no stains or folds in the mounting.
